Looking to store your valuables in NWA but you’ve never used a storage units before? WHAT that’s crazy you should probably panic. Here are a few simple steps to help the mind-boggling process of stuffing away all your property into one room.
Packing for your Storage Unit
- First, decide which items will be packed into boxes and which ones can be left out.
- Label boxes that will need to be accessed more frequently because you will want to place those closer to the door for easy access.
- When stacking make sure you put larger, heavier items on bottom and fragile on a stable top.
- Items that don’t stack well keep those towards the side in a group.

- Store most valuable items to rear of unit.
- Do not store combustible items, such as gas cans, propane tanks, and other items. Common sense, but we have to put this for your safety and ours!
- Make an inventory of the items you store.
- Use furniture and mattress covers for protection.
- Never store food or toxic items.
- Always use a disk lock and keep your key to yourself.
