Thank you for storing with Big Oaks Self-Storage! We appreciate your business and we look forward to continuing to see you storing your valuables with us. Here are a few storage unit reminders and recommendations for the summer.
- Locking Your Storage Unit. It is important to locking your storage unit properly. Although there are several types of locks for storage units. From our experience, we recommend cylinder locks for any storage units. These are the least susceptible type of locks to break, cut, etc. These can be found at most local hardware stores or you can order via Amazon: Cylinder Lock.
- Parking Your Vehicle. We recommend chocking your tires on your vehicles and RVs to keep your vehicle from moving. Here is a link if you’re needing Vehicle Chocks.
- Give Proper Notice Before Moving Out. Per our contract, we do require 30 day notice before cancelling your rental; however, we can work with you if you do not have the full 30 days to give us.
- Make Sure the Storage Unit is Insured. Like most storage facilities, we recommend all our tenants having adequate property insurance against loss or damage. We do not offer insurance through us directly, but you can get insurance through your home insurance provider or third-party vendors.
- Clean Sites. In order for us to continue to maintain an clean and safe environment, we ask you keep any outdoor parking trailers, vehicles, etc clear of debris and trash. Also, if you’re moving in and out, please be courteous of our business and do not litter. We appreciate having great renters that have avoided this to date!
